What you need (for 12 dates):
- 12 dates
- 1 large bar of white chocolate
- Matcha powder
- Hojicha powder
- Peanut butter
- Pecan nuts
- Pistachio nuts
- Sea salt flakes
-
Coconut flakes (desiccated coconut)
How to make them:
- Open the dates and remove the pits.
- Fill each date with a small spoon of peanut butter and add one pecan nut inside.
- Melt the white chocolate au bain-marie until fully smooth.
- Divide the melted chocolate evenly into three small bowls.
- Add matcha powder to one bowl and stir until the chocolate turns a bright green color.
- Add hojicha powder to the second bowl and mix well. The third bowl remains plain white chocolate.
- Dip the stuffed dates into the chocolate.
- When there is only a small amount of matcha chocolate left, add a little plain white chocolate to it to create a lighter, marbled green shade. Dip a few dates in this mixture.
- Roll two dates in coconut flakes.
- Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt flakes over the hojicha-covered dates.
- Finish the remaining dates as desired and decorate them with chopped pistachio nuts, just like in the picture.
You’ll end up with an impressive dessert that’s perfect for serving to guests <3
