Why is our matcha-taste so famous?

High-quality matcha is something you taste, and for us, quality and flavour are the most important part of our journey to bring great matcha to you. We take pride in our smooth, naturally sweet, umami-rich matcha. By lab-testing our batches, frequently conducting random taste tests, and always knowing exactly where our matcha comes from, we can consistently guarantee the quality and flavour you’re used to from us.

Frequently asked questions

About Megami

Why did Yoisho become Megami?

We have grown and our vision has evolved. Megami better represents who we are today: a modern matcha brand rooted in Japanese tradition, crafted for everyday rituals. Same team, same quality, new name.

Is Megami the same matcha as Yoisho?

Yes, 100%. Our sourcing, quality standards, and recipes have not changed. Megami is the next chapter of the same matcha you already know and love.

What happens to my Yoisho account and orders?

Everything carries over automatically. Your account, order history, membership, and any active subscriptions remain exactly the same under Megami.

Our matcha

Where does Megami matcha come from?

Our ceremonial grade matcha is sourced from small tea farms in Kagoshima, Japan. We work directly with growers and lab-test every batch for quality and purity.

What makes ceremonial grade matcha different?

Ceremonial grade matcha is made from the youngest, first-harvest tea leaves. It is stone-ground into an ultra-fine powder, resulting in a naturally sweet, smooth, umami-rich taste without bitterness.

How should I store my matcha?

Keep it airtight, away from light and heat. After opening, store it in the fridge for the best flavor. Always use a dry spoon and seal the tin immediately.
